You will be able to claim five points if you are able to demonstrate that you have previous experience of living in the UK if your points for earnings or your educational qualifications are being claimed for a period that you were in the UK.

Please state below recent earnings in UK Currency. You will gain 5 to 45 points under this HSMP category depending on earning power and Country of residence.

Income over last twelve months in UK Currency (if you are a student for the 12 months before you became a student).

If the work experience was in the UK you will gain an additional five points.

Unless you are are already working full-time in the UK and will be doing similar work if you are granted HSMP status, or your occupation is in a known shortage area you should carefully research the UK job market to make sure that you will find graduate level work.

You do not need to have a job offer. However, it may be necessary for you to provide some form of documentary evidence that you are likely to find graduate level work. This could be information from web-sites, newspaper articles, letters from prospective employers, letters from recruiters, etc.

You have looked at the UK Job Market and are confident of finding graduate level work

You are unable to show that you are likely to find work once HSMP status is granted - not eligible

If you are under 32 years of age you will gain points based on age.

27 or under - 20 points

30 or 31 - 5 points

28 or 29 - 10 points

32 or older - 0 points

I have a MBA from one of the following Universities, and have graduated since 2 December 2004.

If you meet this requirement and the other requirements section you will automatically gain enough points - 75 points.

Please note that if you tick the second option of any of the following five 'other HSMP requirements', you will not be granted entry on the basis of HSMP to the UK.

You can continue to work in your chosen field in the UK. Please note that in some occupations you will need to show evidence of relevant qualifications and professional membership to work in the UK

You are unable to work in your chosen field in the UK - not eligible

You can support yourself without claiming benefits from the Government. You will need to demonstrate this on the basis of either savings or earning potential

You are unable to show that you will have sufficient funds in the UK to pay your living expenses there - not eligible

You intend to make the UK your main home

You will continue to spend most of your time outside the UK- not eligible

You are currently bankrupt - not eligible
